EARTH DAY 2021

EARTH DAY 2021

When you shop at BEIGE you’re not just investing in your wardrobe; You’re investing in a better future for the environment. We only bring in the best brands who put a focus on reducing waste, eliminating their carbon footprint, and have sustainable practices in place. Today we’re highlighting a handful of our favorites who are shaping the industry to a place where sustainable fashion is an attainable reality. Whether it’s by using recycled materials or donating a percentage of sales to a bigger cause, any small step that promotes a better future for all of us, is important. This Earth Day, sustainability never looked so good.

ST. AGNI –

st agni

We only invest in designers that share a commitment to slow fashion and produce pieces that can last a lifetime. St. Agni, a luxury brand based in Australia, is the perfect example of “less is more”. By only ordering to meet demand and keeping stock levels low, St. Agni aims to cut out as much excess waste as possible. The latest collection comprises TENCEL, linen, hemp, silk, yak, organic cotton, wool and unique blends- all biodegradable fabrics. This season’s synthetic-free collection is RTW 100% natural. NANUSHKA –

nanushka

Nanushka is known for their vegan leather and eco-friendly materials. “Our vision is to build a sustainable future.” Every piece is made in Hungary or Serbia, where the brand’s designers work together with pattern makers and local manufacturers to help reduce C02 emissions. In 2019 the brand announced in their sustainability report that by 2025, the collections will be 100% sustainable, with full transparency and traceability across their whole supply chain.

THEMOIRè –

themoire

Themoirè is one of BEIGE’s newest yet most sustainable brands. Their aim is to create the lowest possible environmental impact both ethically and ecologically by creating pieces with only reused or recycled materials. This stands true for their products, tags and packaging. A percentage of all Themoirè’s profits are donated to organizations that are committed to climate change. Through their partnership with Tree-Nation, Themoirè, along with their customers, are able to plant a tree and support local communities with Eden Reforestation Projects. BOYISH –

If you haven’t worn a pair of Boyish yet, here’s your sign to do your wardrobe a favor and invest in a pair of their sustainable denim. In 2020 they released a sustainability report to maintain transparency and share their part in bettering the environment for future generations. They launched their fiber guidelines last year along with their fiber traceability map. Not only are Boyish jeans produced with ⅓ of the water that it typically takes to make a pair of jeans, but all dyes are natural/plant based and the brand is completely cruelty-free.

In honor of Earth Day, every order placed today will be packaged with our limited edition reusable tote- locally printed by Electric Ghost. Let’s take a minute today (and everyday) to slow down and reflect on all that Mother Earth has provided. Love what you already have and join us in taking the necessary steps to build a sustainable wardrobe.
